SHILLONG, Jan 10: The district council polls will witness a key contest between the Congress and the VPP, Meghalaya Congress president Vincent H Pala stated on Friday, while effectively ruling out the NPP from the contest.
Pala emphasised that the selection of capable candidates would be the decisive factor in the elections slated on February 21.
He expressed confidence in the party’s prospects and said the party leaders were satisfied with the list of candidates.
