SHILLONG, Jan 13: The second phase of the Shillong IT Park is likely to be completed by the end of this year.
According to reports, the construction work is progressing well, and the project is expected to be finished by November-December 2025.
The construction for the second phase began in January 2023 and it is being executed by Badri Rai and Company.
The second phase of the IT Park is being developed at a cost of Rs 114 crore. The new G+4 structure spans an area of 1.5 lakh square feet, with the second-to-last slab currently being laid.
The building will feature five lifts and various modern amenities designed to support both short-term and long-term operations.
The Phase II expansion is anticipated to generate around 5,000 direct and indirect jobs, providing a significant boost to local employment.
Similar to the first phase, the new facility will operate on a “plug and play” model, enabling companies to lease space for temporary projects or permanent operations.
