Natl conference
The College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences (CGPS-AS), Umiam, under the Central Agricultural University, Imphal, will host a two-day national conference on ‘Enhancing Agricultural Growth with Special Reference to North East India: Synergizing Industry and Scientific Innovations for Demand-Driven Crop Improvement’ at the CPGS-AS Campus, Umiam, on January 16 and 17. The conference will bring together students, scholars, researchers and faculty members from SAUs, CAUs, Deemed Universities, Colleges and KVKs from across the country.

Traffic curbs
Due to the ongoing road development work, the Deputy Commissioner of North Garo Hills has informed the general public that movement of vehicles will be temporarily blocked from Jonglapara junction to Monfort school junction from January 12 till the completion of the work. In a statement issued here, the DC said that the construction work is being carried out to improve the infrastructure and ensure better road safety. During this period, the public have been advised to plan their travel accordingly and to take the alternate route from Dekachang – Jonglapara junction – Chibagok – Monfort school – Daram.

Meeting
The 9th general body meeting-cum-election of the Executive Committee of Gorkha Secondary School Alumni Association will be held on the school premises at 11 am on March 2.
