USTM named ‘University of the Year 2024’ at Education Excellence Awards

SHILLONG, Jan 18: The University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) has been conferred with the ‘University of the Year 2024’ award at the Academic Insights Education Excellence Awards & Summit 2024, held in Bengaluru.
The university secured this prestigious title after competing against top institutions from across India.
USTM has already earned an ‘A’ grade accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and recognition from the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), further cementing its reputation in the academic sphere.
Expressing pride in this achievement, Founder and Chancellor of USTM, Mahbubul Hoque, said, “Being named ‘University of the Year’ is a proud moment for the entire USTM family. This recognition strengthens our commitment to delivering quality education and fostering an environment of innovation and growth.”
On the other hand, USTM vice chancellor, Prof. GD Sharma, acknowledged the collective efforts behind this success.
“This honour reflects the relentless dedication of our faculty, staff, students, and alumni, who have collectively shaped USTM’s success story. We are immensely grateful to all those who have contributed to this journey of excellence,” he said.
