State BJP general secretary Wankitbok Poshna said, “These are the constituencies we are focusing on, including Ri-Bhoi, East Jaintia Hills, Shillong City, and South West Khasi Hills.”
“This is the first time the party is contesting for the maximum number of seats, and we believe this participation will help strengthen the district council, which is our goal,” he added
He also announced that the party’s manifesto for the council polls will be released soon. “Our candidates will embody the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a developed nation and demonstrate how district councils can contribute to Vikshit Bharat,” Poshna stated.
