EKHCA 4th District League T20 Tourney
Shillong, Feb 3: Friends United CC and Hurdles of Mawsynram won their respective matches on the second day of the 4th District League T20 Cricket Tournament 2024, organised by the East Khasi Hills Cricket Association, in Sohra on Monday.
In the first match, Friends United were made to bat first. Ernestin Kyntiewdor Swer struck 71 from 54 deliveries as Friends United posted 145/5 in 20 overs. Miquel Obando Nongbri bagged an impressive haul of 4/11 in 4 overs. In reply, Lumpaia were restricted to 131/7 in their 20 overs, with Ernestin returning figures of 2/33 in 4 overs. Daryll Donald Nongbri top-scored with 32. Ernestin was named Player of the Match.
Later, Hurdles restricted Laitjemto to 126/9 in 20 overs. Player of the Match Sandy Kharshandi bowled well for his 3/20 in 4 overs, with Poilang Thawmuit top-scoring with 28. Sandy then smashed 58 from just 28 balls as Hurdles won in just 13.4 overs and for the loss of two wickets.
