SHILLONG, Feb 9: As the global music sensation Ed Sheeran prepares to take the stage in Shillong, excitement stays at an all-time high. Fans are eagerly awaiting his signature loop station performance, where he builds entire songs live by layering beats, melodies, and harmonies in real-time. This will be the first time that an artist of this stature will take the stage in Shillong, at the JN Stadium.
The setlist for his songs include Castle on the Hill, Shivers, I’m a Mess, A Team, Give Me Love, Don’t, Lego House, I See Fire, Eyes Closed, Dive, Thinking Out Loud, Happier, Love Yourself, Sing, One, Photograph, Tenerife Sea, Perfect, Bloodstream, Afterglow, You Need Me, Shape of You and Bad Habits in that particular order.
Adding to the excitement, the concert will feature a star-studded opening act, with Kayan, one of India’s rising Indie stars, set to warm up the crowd. She is known for her blend of R&B, electronic, and alternative music.
Additionally, local artists from Meghalaya will also get a chance to showcase their talent on this global platform. While official names are yet to be confirmed, sources suggest that a few well-known musicians from Shillong’s vibrant rock and folk scene might be part of the lineup.
With Sheeran also bringing back his rap-infused performance of You Need Me, I Don’t Need You, the concert is to be a mix of nostalgia, innovation, and raw musical energy. Shillong, often called the “Rock Capital of India,” is all set to host an unforgettable night of music, passion, and electrifying performances.
It is noteworthy to mention that even though the tickets were sold out earlier, some tickets have shown availability on the app.
