SHILLONG, Feb 15: Meghalaya Governor C H Vijayashankar welcomed Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai, a globally renowned humanitarian and spiritual leader to Raj Bhavan, here on Sunday.
During the event, the governor expressed deep gratitude to Sadguru Madhusudan Sai for his unparalleled contributions to society, particularly in the fields of education, healthcare, and nutrition, which have uplifted countless lives across India and beyond.
The governor also acknowledged Sadguru’s recent collaboration with the Government of Assam to launch a transformative Morning Nutrition Programme, aimed at providing free, nutritious meals to school children.
The initiative, which has benefited millions, underscores his unwavering commitment to public welfare.
In his address, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai emphasized the importance of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (One World, One Family) and urged everyone to cultivate a spirit of service and compassion. During the visit, the spiritual leader had a meeting with Commissioner and Secretary MBoSE Vijay Kumar Mantri, and discussions were held to start a daily nutritious meal initiative for approximately 10,000 school-going children of the state. He lauded Meghalaya for its natural beauty and medicinal plants and even expressed his desire to contribute to the medical sector of the state as well. The event at Raj Bhavan witnessed a cultural programme by Geetanjali Dance Academy.
