MoS takes stock of devp work in Ri-Bhoi

NONGPOH, Feb 18: Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution etc., Nimuben J Bambhaniya, on Tuesday visited Ri-Bhoi, an Aspirational District, to take stock of various developmental works for the Aspirational District and Aspirational Block. The review focussed on key performance of five indicators such as health and nutrition, education, agriculture and water resources, financial inclusion and skill developmental and infrastructure and also field inspections to various developmental activities in different villages of Ri-Bhoi.
A review meeting on Aspirational District Programme was held at Conference hall DC’s office, Nongpoh, where presentations were made on the progress of work done on various key indicators.
In her speech, the Union minister said that she was delighted with the experience of her first visit to the district, expressing satisfaction with the work done in the district. She also emphasised the importance of cooperation and dedication from all stakeholders to achieve development and progress.
She also visited Nar-ang Sub-Centre and Lay-bye market at Dulongnar, Pineapple Processing Unit, at Umdihar, MGNREGA Erpakon and JJM scheme at Quinine village.
