BSF holds cross-border meet with BGB

TURA, Feb 19: Aiming to elevate bilateral relations, enhance coordination, and address various border-related issues, the BSF held a Sector Commander-level coordination meeting with the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) near BGB BOP Jawdanga in Bangladesh on Wednesday.
The BSF delegation was led by Lalit Mohan Sharma, DIG, Sector HQ BSF Tura, while Col. Sarker Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman, PBGMS, PSC, Sector Commander, BGB, Mymensingh, Bangladesh, led the BGB delegation.
During the meeting, the commanders of both border guarding forces discussed various border-related issues, including the Coordinated Border Management Plan and other matters of mutual interest.
At the end of the conference, both sides expressed satisfaction with the meaningful and cordial discussions, which reflected the friendly bilateral relations between the two countries.
Both commanders reiterated their commitment to fostering a secure and peaceful border environment and praised the ongoing efforts of their respective forces in maintaining tranquility in the region. The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties agreeing to hold regular coordination meetings in the future to ensure continued cooperation and the smooth functioning of border management operations.
