Traffic regulation for ISL match in city tomorrow

SHILLONG, Feb 19: In light of the upcoming Indian Super League (ISL) match between NorthEast United FC and Bengaluru FC, scheduled to take place at the JN Stadium complex here on February 21, the Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, has announced special traffic regulations and parking arrangements.
To manage the anticipated traffic congestion, several diversions will be in place from 4 pm on match day. There will be no entry at Lumjingshai Junction towards CRPF Junction, and vehicles will be diverted towards Lawmali Junction. Similarly, there will be no entry at Lumjingshai Junction towards Forest Colony. At the 4th Furlong Junction, vehicles will not be allowed to proceed towards Polo Market and will instead be diverted towards CS Junction and beyond.
Additionally, there will be no right turn at Matri Mandir Junction towards Polo Market, with traffic being redirected to 4th Furlong Junction and beyond.
To accommodate spectators, designated parking areas have been set up at multiple locations including the SRGT Parking Lot. One-side parking will be permitted opposite Software Technology Park at Lumjingshai. Another parking space has been designated at Red Field, Golf Links opposite Golf Retreat. Additionally, one-side parking will be allowed from Tiara Restaurant Junction to CM Office Connect.
Emergency service vehicles will be allowed to ply without restrictions to ensure smooth operations.
