JMM MP injured while returning from Maha Kumbh
RANCHI, Feb 26: JMM MP Mahua Maji was injured while returning from Maha Kumbh after her car hit a truck parked on the roadside in Jharkhand’s Latehar district in the early hours of Wednesday.Maji, a Rajya Sabha member, suffered a fracture in her left wrist and was admitted to a private hospital in Ranchi, they said.Her family members, who were in the car, also received minor injuries, they added.The incident happened on NH-75 near Hotwag village around 2.30 am.Maji was initially taken to Sadar Hospital where she was given first-aid and then shifted to Ranchi for better treatment, said police.She was returning to Ranchi from Prayagraj along with her son and daughter-in-law, police said. Man arrested for stabbing two brothers
NEW DELHI, Feb 26: Delhi Police has arrested a 22-year-old man for allegedly attacking two brothers with a knife over a previous dispute in Welcome area of northeast Delhi, aon Wednesday.The accused, identified as Tushar alias Tushi, was apprehended and the weapon used in the crime was recovered, the official said.The incident occurred on February 24 when a PCR call was received reporting that two men, Shiva (19) and Yogesh alias Aditya (20), had been stabbed and were undergoing treatment at GTB Hospital.An investigation revealed that the attack stemmed from a prior quarrel between the victims and Tushar. During the altercation, Tushar allegedly pulled out a knife and assaulted both before fleeing. Tushar was arrested on Wednesday. (PTI)
KVS teacher suspended for derogatory remarks against Bihar
PATNA, Feb 26: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has suspended a probationary teacher for making derogatory remarks against Bihar and its people following her posting in Jehanabad district.A primary teacher on probation, posted at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Jehanabad, landed in trouble after a purported video went viral on social media in which she was reportedly seen making those remarks.According to a statement issued by the KVS regional office in Patna, Deepali, the primary teacher on probation, is suspended with immediate effect. The Jehanabad district administration also issued a statement regarding this.In the purported video, she said, “I don’t know what mistake I committed…. I am ready to go places like Kolkata, Odisha, Himachal Pradesh or even Ladakh, but not Bihar.” (PTI)
