Nongpoh, March 6: The Office of the District Sports Officer, Ri-Bhoi District, in collaboration with the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs and Khelo India Centre, is set to host the ASMITA City League 2025: Women’s Boxing Tournament on March 15, 2025. The tournament will take place at the District Sports Office in Nongpoh and will feature two age categories — Under-18 and Under-21.
The initiative, aimed at empowering women through sports, seeks to inspire young female athletes and provide them with a platform to showcase their boxing skills. The District Sports Office has invited interested participants from across Ri-Bhoi District to take part in the tournament.
Registration forms are available at the District Sports Office during office hours. The last date for submission of forms is March 12, 2025. For further details, participants can contact the office directly or call 9612106260 during office hours.
