IIM Shillong concludes Anveshan 2025

Shillong, March 8: IIM Shillong hosted its first-ever Model United Nations (MUN), Anveshan 2025. Supported by Punjab National Bank as the official event partner, the conference brought together some of the brightest young minds from across the country, fostering dynamic discussions, policy negotiations, and crisis simulations.
The inaugural edition of Anveshan 2025 featured two prestigious committees—the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) addressing The Rise of Conflict and Non-State Actors and Their Impact on Governance in the Middle East and the the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) conducted a Continuous Crisis Simulation, testing participants’ diplomatic and strategic decision-making skills.
A well-known industry leader, former CHRO of major Indian conglomerates, author, and advisor at NITI Aayog, Dr Sonalkar offered valuable insights into global governance and decision-making. As a token of appreciation, he presented his national best-selling book, Fetch Your Own Coffee, to Prof. DP Goyal, Director of IIM Shillong.
To honour outstanding performances, Anveshan 2025 recognised participants with awards for the best delegates bagged by Sanskriti Modgal from St. Edmunds, representing Saudi Arabia in UNGA and Md Rezaul Islam from St. Anthony’s representing the United States of America in UNSC.
High Commendation and Special Mention awards were also presented to participants for their exceptional contributions.
With its perfect blend of debate, diplomacy, leadership development, and cultural exchange, Anveshan 2025 has set a high benchmark and aspires to become a premier MUN conference.
