MLP Sohra, Ribhoi Office Combine secure dominant wins

Shillong, March 25: The East Khasi Hills Cricket Association Inter Office Cum Corporate League T20 Cricket Tournament 2025 continued with thrilling encounters on Day 9, featuring two high-intensity matches at the local cricket grounds.
In Match 17, MLP Sohra locked horns with Exporter XI in a high-scoring contest. Winning the toss, MLP Sohra opted to bat first and set a daunting total of 218/3 in 20 overs. Bernard Sangma led the charge with a commanding 71 off 51 balls, while Johnward Marak provided crucial support with a quickfire 50 off 30 balls. Exporter XI’s Sudhir Chaudhary managed to claim 1/27 in 3 overs.
Chasing a stiff target, Exporter XI struggled against MLP Sohra’s disciplined bowling attack, managing only 149/6 in 20 overs. Sudhir Chaudhary top-scored for his team with 36 off 37 balls, but it wasn’t enough to challenge the total. MLP Sohra’s Terry Dkhar starred with the ball, registering impressive figures of 3/19 in 4 overs.
With a 69-run victory, MLP Sohra emerged victorious, and Johnward Marak was adjudged Player of the Match for his all-round performance, scoring 50 off 30 balls and picking up 1/20 in 4 overs.
Match 18 saw a one-sided affair as Ribhoi Office Combine dominated Sohra Labour Union. Sohra Labour Union, after winning the toss and choosing to bat first, was bundled out for a paltry 37 runs in 13.5 overs.
Jona Lyngdoh Nonglait was the lone fighter with 14 off 22 balls, while Ganesh Sahani wreaked havoc with the ball, claiming 3/13 in 2.5 overs.
In response, Ribhoi Office Combine made light work of the chase, reaching 39/0 in just 2 overs. Plielad Makri showcased his aggressive intent, smashing 18 off just 6 balls, sealing a comfortable 10-wicket victory.
For his brilliant bowling effort, Ganesh Sahani was named Player of the Match.
The tournament is set to continue with more exhilarating fixtures as teams battle for supremacy in the Inter Office Cum Corporate League T20 2025.
