Combine SHG, PHE Sohra bag wins as Corporate League T20 enters semis

Shillong, March 26: The East Khasi Hills Cricket Association’s Inter Office Cum Corporate League T20 Cricket Tournament 2025 witnessed two thrilling encounters on Day 10, with Combine SHG and PHE Sohra Division securing victories in their respective matches.
SSA Shella Bholaganj won the toss and opted to bat first but struggled against a disciplined bowling attack, managing only 63 all out in 16.1 overs. Ritchie Diengdoh was the top scorer with 17 off 23 balls, while Sunny Sten wreaked havoc with the ball, claiming 4 wickets for just 10 runs in 4 overs.
In response, Combine SHG chased down the target comfortably, reaching 66/2 in 10.1 overs. Banphira Basaiamoit anchored the innings with an unbeaten 28 off 31 balls, while Paiamawshai Nongkynrih picked up 2 wickets for just 1 run in a single over for SSA Shella Bholaganj.
At the end, Combine SHG won by 8 wickets. Sunny Sten was adjudged Player of the Match.
In the second match of the day, Exporter XI, after winning the toss, posted a competitive total of 169 all out in 20 overs, courtesy of a brilliant knock from Shubro Sarkar, who smashed 72 off 39 balls.
Marken B Kharkongor was the standout bowler, taking a superb 5-wicket haul for 31 runs in 4 overs.
PHE Sohra Division, in reply, chased down the target in a nail-biting finish, scoring 170/7 in 20 overs. The innings was powered by an outstanding century from Sandy Kharshandi, who played a match-winning knock of 106 off 56 balls, ensuring a three-wicket victory for his side.
At the end, PHE Sohra Division won by 3 wickets. Sandy Kharshandi was adjudged Player of the Match.
With the conclusion of the league stage, the tournament now moves into the semi-finals, set to take place on March 28 at Sohra.
The first semi-final will see MLP Sohra take on Combine SHG at 9:00 AM, followed by the second clash between Ribhoi Office Combine and PHE Sohra Division at 12:30 PM. The winners will advance to the final, bringing the tournament to an exciting climax.
