SHILLONG, April 1: Meghalaya has recorded a 26 per cent growth in its Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue for March 2025.
According to data, Meghalaya’s GST revenue collection stood at Rs 213 crore in March 2024, which has now increased to Rs 268 crore in March 2025.
In addition to the monthly revenue growth, the state has also seen an increase in its State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) collections.
The pre-settlement SGST was Rs 607 crore in the financial year 2023-24 and has risen to Rs 646 crore in 2024-25, marking a 6 per cent growth. Similarly, the post-settlement SGST increased from Rs 1,713 crore in 2023-24 to Rs 1,809 crore in 2024-25, also reflecting a 6 per cent growth.
Additionally, the number of active GST Identification Numbers (GSTINs) in Meghalaya has also grown.
As of March 31, 2025, there are 12,486 GSTINs under the central jurisdiction, while 18,699 GSTINs are registered under the state jurisdiction.
