Hamirpur, Chamba DC offices get bomb threat
Shimla/ Hamirpur, April 25: Police laid a cordon and launched a search after a mailer threatened to blow up the offices of Hamirpur and Chamba district commissioners. The office was evacuated after it received a threat mail around 11.30 am, threatening to blow up the office at 2.30 pm, Chamba DC Mukesh Repaswal said. Police have cordoned off the area and a search operation is on, he added. The source of mail is being checked, police said. (PTI)
One lakh people to be trained to converse in Sanskrit
Dehradun, April 25: One lakh people in Uttarakhand will be trained to converse in “simple” Sanskrit through online and offline modes as part of a plan to promote the use of the language among common people. The move will help link Sanskrit, the second official language of the state after Hindi, with employment opportunities and encourage the youth to communicate in it, officials said here on Friday. NEET-UG paper leak mastermind arrested
Patna, April 25: Sanjeev Mukhiya, the prime accused in the NEET-UG paper leak case, was arrested from the Saguna Mor under Danapur police station limits, here. Nayyer Hasnain Khan, ADG of the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police, said Mukhiya was arrested late Thursday night. “Based on a tip-off, a joint team of EOU and Patna STF raided an apartment in Saguna Mor and arrested Sanjeev Mukhiya, who was hiding there. He had been on the run since the NEET-UG paper leak came to light last year,” Khan said.
Mukhiya, a resident of Nalanda, carried a reward of Rs 3 lakh on his head and was one of three key accused for whom bounties had been announced by the Bihar Police last month. (PTI)
