Tura, April 27: A remarkable gathering of musicians from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s took place at Aldara Rongkon, Tura, on Saturday, with a motive to revive golden memories of the past, to strengthen the spirit of live music in Garo Hills and the wider region and to encourage young, talented musicians who are slowly losing their stage due to lack of opportunities.
The event was organised by the Rock Revival Music Society, with the get-together marking a significant step toward the mission of rock revival in the region.
Band members from across generations came together, joining hands to make this event a grand success.
“The overwhelming response and unity displayed have inspired us to plan even bigger initiatives in the near future, where we hope to create platforms that will once again ignite the passion for live music and give our youth the stages they deserve,” said the organizers.
The bands and singers who performed in the event included Hex, Nazguls, Hi-Fi Stereo, Tengkrang Sangma from ‘Panacea’, Osmond Sangma from ‘Renegades’, Gene Kelly from ‘Quiet Heart’, Olly Marak from ‘Saturnalia’, Che Guevara, Olivia Momin from Genes, Tangringchi Momin from Celestial among others.
