Clarification
The Office of the East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner has clarified that no payment is required for registration or association under the Scheme for Residential Education for Students in High Schools in Targeted Areas (SHRESHTA), which is being implemented by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The clarification comes in the wake of reports that certain individuals or organisations have been falsely demanding payments, both online and offline, in the name of registering or affiliating with the SHRESHTA scheme.

Change in timing
The Sub Divisional Officer, Pynursla, has informed the general public that the timings of periodical closure of the stretch of road from Laitlyngkot to Lyngkyrdem from May 26 to 30 have been revised. According to a statement, the revised timings are 8 am to 11 am and 1 pm to 4 pm.

Appointment
The Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited has reconstituted the MeECL Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum (CGRF), Shillong, and appointed SK Lato as member and A Majaw, Additional Chief Engineer (Planning & Design), MEPDCL, as technical member of the Forum.
