SHILLONG, June 15: Continuing the tradition, the 22nd Meritorious Award for Students 2025 has been announced to honour academic achievers from the constituency.
Under the theme “Their Success Tells Us a Story,” the award ceremony, organised by the Raid Laban Sports, Social and Cultural Organisation in collaboration with the Meghalaya government, seeks to recognise students who have secured first division marks in their Class X and XII board exams — including the SSLC, HSSLC under Meghalaya Board of School Education, besides ICSE, CBSE, ISC, and NIOS — during the academic year 2024-25.
The awards are open exclusively to bonafide residents of the constituency.
Topper students from each category will be presented with laptop sets to honour their achievements.
In a noteworthy gesture, the award scheme will also include deserving differently-abled and underprivileged students who have successfully passed their board exams, regardless of division.
In a statement issued by the organisation, application forms for the award can be collected from the office of the organisation, located on the ground floor of South Shillong MLA and organisation’s president, Sanbor Shullai’s residential office at New Kench’s Trace, Shillong. Forms will be available between 9 am and 12 noon from June 16 to 30.
