New units of UP teachers’ body formed

TURA/SHILLONG, June 23: The All Meghalaya Government UP School Teachers’ Association (AMGUPSTA) has recently constituted two district units — one in West Garo Hills and another in West Khasi Hills.
Headquartered in Shyamnagar, the West Garo Hills unit of AMGUPSTA also elected its office-bearers. They include Trillinggarth Ch Marak as president, Saniram Rabha as vice president, Utpal Kr Laha as secretary, Pradip Rabha as joint secretary, and Girija Upadhyay as treasurer-cum-accountant besides others. Meanwhile, the AMGUPSTA Eastern West Khasi Hills district unit elected Wadbor Warjri as president, Teibor Royal Roy Thabah as vice president, Welbirthstone L Nonglait as general secretary, Donboklang Rekon Lyngdoh as assistant secretary, and Fullymerry Lyngdoh as finance-cum-treasurer, besides other members.
