SHILLONG, June 24: One Banker Dkhar died after his sooty crashed into a BSNL pole near NEHU Gate No. 2, Mawkynroh, during the early hours of Sunday.
The pillion rider, George Marwein, sustained injuries in the accident.
Dkhar was initially taken to Shillong Civil Hospital and later shifted to Super Care Hospital here, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The family requested exemption from post-mortem examination, which was granted by the magistrate.
