Unclaimed body
The Additional Director of Health Services, Shillong Civil Hospital has informed that a male patient named Rahul Rai (40) was admitted in the ICU, Bed No. 11, on June 18 after being brought by an ambulance from Jhalupara. He, however, passed away on June 23. In this regard, all concerned relatives etc., have been asked to collect the body from the hospital morgue within three days, failing which the same will be sent for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.

NIOS exam
The next public examination (theory) of NIOS for secondary and senior secondary courses for October-November 2025 is likely to commence in first week of October. The exam centres are fixed at Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, government, government-aided and private Schools, colleges and institutions affiliated with CBSE/ICSE/state boards/universities. The principals and heads of the schools/colleges have been asked to apply online for examination centres of NIOS.
