SHILLONG, July 10: The detailed project report for the proposed vehicular overpass from Rilbong to Barik Point is likely to be completed by next month.
An official said on Thursday that the concerned authorities are currently working on the DPR. Once the proposed design is presented and approved, the government would go for land acquisition, including some portion of defence land required for the proposed overpass.
The state government had, earlier, proposed construction of the overpass from Jhalupara to Anjalee Point via Rilbong as part of the Shillong-Dawki road project. It later modified the proposal for an overpass till Barik Point.
