SHILLONG, July 12: Meritorious students of classes 10 and 12 were on Saturday felicitated at a programme organised by the SIAMSINPAWLPI (Paite Students Welfare Organisation), Shillong, at St. Margaret Higher Secondary School Hall.
Delivering the keynote address, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Superintendent of Police (SP) (retired), Pu M. Thanglianmang, informed that the programme was organised to encourage successful students, while stressing the need for motivational guidance from experienced individuals to prepare for life ahead.
On the other hand, Principal Secretary (retired), Pu Chinkhenthang, shared his personal journey from a humble family background to a rewarding career in public service.
He also stressed the need for hard work, determination and time management.
Meanwhile, NECTAR Director, Pu Rev. S. Nengzakhup, noted that mere graduation and degrees are not sufficient in today’s competitive world.
Nengzakhup then exhorted the students to work diligently to secure a place in every sphere of life.
