State’s first OTT platform completes one year

SHILLONG, July 12: Since its launch, Hello Meghalaya has garnered over 3.8 lakh downloads and nearly 2 lakh registrations, with content views reaching an impressive 10 million and an average watch time of 4 hours and 30 minutes per user.
Launched on July 11, 2024, the Hello Meghalaya, which is the state’s first OTT platform, on Sunday marked its one-year anniversary, showcasing its commitment to promoting and celebrating the vibrant culture, stories and talent of Meghalaya.
Popular films such as Ka Chithi, Pynngop, Ka-Daw, 9-Lad, Jingim and Ahor have each surpassed one million views, corroborating the platform’s ability to captivate audiences with real-time Meghalayan narratives.
The platform has also emerged as a dedicated space that offers a unique platform for local content creators to showcase films, short films, music videos, vlogs, documentaries and live content in local languages such as Khasi, Garo and Pnar.
