M’laya-made IMFL seized by Cachar Police

SHILLONG, July 24: A total of 914 litres of Meghalaya-made IMFL was seized by Cachar Police on Thursday.
During a routine check at the Digarkhal Toll Gate, one vehicle (AS11EC8141) was intercepted by the police and subsequently, upon inspection, the huge quantity of suspected Meghalaya-made IMFL was recovered.
The items recovered were 63 litres of Signature Whiskey, 36 litres of Blenders Pride Whiskey, nine litres of Absolut Vodka, 320 litres of Kingfisher Ultra Max Beer and 486 litres of Royal Stag Whiskey.
Meanwhile, the items recovered and the vehicle have been confiscated by the police and further legal proceeding has been initiated.
