BSF honours Kargil martyrs at ICP Dawki

SHILLONG, July 26: Commemorating the valour and supreme sacrifice of India’s brave soldiers during the Kargil War, the BSF Meghalaya Frontier organised a stirring Jazz band performance at Matri Gate, ICP Dawki, on Saturday as part of Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations.
Held under the aegis of 4th Battalion BSF, the solemn yet spirited event was graced by Offg. DIG, SHQ BSF Jowai, Satish Kumar Dogra, 2IC 4 Bn BSF, NV Siam, besides two other officers, 10 subordinate officers and 20 other rank officials. Also in attendance were Manager, LPAI, TC Chakoo, and officials of LPAI, further underscoring the collaborative spirit of the occasion.
The BSF jazz band captivated the audience with emotionally powerful and patriotic melodies that resonated through the serene hills of Dawki.
The event drew enthusiastic participation from both local residents and Bangladeshi tourists, who gathered in large numbers to pay their respects and join in the remembrance.
