SHILLONG, July 29: Tributes were paid to Mihir Deb by the members of the Laban Sanatan Dharmasabha Harisabha, Shillong, during a condolence meeting on Sunday at the Harisabha premises.
According to a statement here, Deb, who was a senior member of Laban Sanatan Dharmasabha Harisabha, had passed away on July 23.
The gathering witnessed heartfelt speeches from several members who recalled Deb’s unwavering dedication and contributions to the religious and community life of the Harisabha.
The guidance provided by Deb during key Puja rituals was also recalled by the gathering.
The meeting concluded with a minute of silence observed by all in memory of the departed soul.
“The Harisabha community mourns the loss of Shri Mihir Deb and stands united in gratitude for his lifelong dedication and selfless service,” the statement said.
