Dist Councils must avoid unnecessary expenditure: Prestone Tynsong

Shillong, August 1: The State Government has asked all the three Autonomous District Councils in the state to minimize their unnecessary expenditure.
The statement came from District Council Affairs Minister Prestone Tynsong as employees of GHADC have not been paid their salary for over 42 months.

Prestone Tynsong said that the Government has nothing to say on the matter except advising all the three ADCs to minimize their unnecessary expenditure.
He said that the District Councils are supposed generate revenue on their own and based on their capacity, they should recruit employees.

Asked if the Government would bail out KHADC from financial crisis, he said that the Government would see the situation
