Cultural evening
Metallica–Sargam Sports & Cultural Club, in association with the office of Mera Yuva Bharat, East Khasi Hills, Shillong, organised a cultural evening to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas 2025, at Laitumkhrah Assamese Secondary School, Fire Brigade. According to a statement here, the occasion was marked with a floral tribute to the heroes of the Kargil War, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and a choir presentation. A short documentary and a quiz competition on the Kargil War and its impact on our fellow citizens, and an English essay writing competition were conducted on the occasion. The winners of various competitions were presented with medals, mementoes and gifts.
