SHILLONG, Aug 9: A meeting in Jowai brought together stakeholders committed to improving urban infrastructure and ensuring the welfare of residents. Jowai MLA Wailadmiki Shylla chaired the meeting with the Waheh Chnong of the Jowai Urban Area at the Soil and Water Conservation Conference Hall.
Discussions centred on key development proposals, including the construction of footpaths, enhancement of drainage systems, and upgrading of motorable roads.
“These initiatives, in collaboration with the Office of the Executive Engineer, Urban Affairs, Jowai, and the Jowai Municipal Board, aim to address pressing needs across various localities,” Shylla said, adding that such engagements reaffirm their shared vision for sustainable growth and improved living standards.
