BELGRADE, Aug 13: Clashes erupted across Serbia between anti-government protesters and President Aleksandar Vucic’s supporters, leaving dozens injured, including 16 police officers.
Violence began in Vrbas and spread to other cities amid growing unrest over alleged corruption and calls for early elections.
The student-led protests, ongoing since November, have drawn massive crowds. While Vucic blamed protesters for the violence, demonstrators accused government supporters of initiating attacks.
Several arrests were made following the unrest. (AP)
