SHILLONG, Aug 13: GHADC employees, who have been without salaries for over 43 months, may finally receive relief as the government has promised to release the council’s share of revenue soon.
Deputy Chief Minister in charge of District Council Affairs Department, Prestone Tynsong, has asked all three ADCs in the state to take responsibility for generating their own revenue instead of relying on the government’s share.
GHADC employees have been protesting against the delay in salary release for the last 34 days.
