SHILLONG, Aug 14: In an effort to promote science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education among state’s students, the North East Centre for Technology Application and Research (NECTAR), an autonomous institute under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), in collaboration with Smart Village Movement (SVM),a non-profit body promoting sustainable innovations focused in rural markets, and IISER Pune, will host a one-day workshop and student exhibition under its STEM Fusion initiative on Monday at the State Convention Centre here.
The exhibition aims to provide hands-on learning experiences and access to technology to bridge gaps in math and science education. It will also create a platform for students to showcase their innovative projects. Nearly 80 schools and colleges across the state will participate, showcasing 90 projects related to STEM education.
