TURA, Aug 24: In a proud moment for the Meghalaya Blind Football Association and the Garo Hills region, Klingson D Marak, a blind footballer from the area, has once again been selected to be a part of the Indian Men’s Blind Football Team for the 2025 IBSA Men’s Blind Football Nations Cup and the 2025 IBSA Asia-Oceania Division 2. The tournaments will be held at the United Sports Ground, Kochi, Kerala, from September 23 to October 6.
Klingson, representing the country under the Indian Blind Football Federation (IBFF), is currently attending a National Training Camp that will continue until September 22.This is not Klingson’s first international outing. He has represented India in several global tournaments, including the Beijing Paralympic Games 2022 and multiple international blind football tournaments in England.
Meanwhile, the Meghalaya Blind Football Association has extended its best wishes to him.
“On this occasion, we at the Garo Blind Football Club and the Meghalaya Blind Football Association wish him success in the tournament so that he comes out as the Best Player in the tournament,” said John Lavin Marak, Secretary of the Meghalaya Blind Football Association (MBFA).
