MOSCOW, Aug 24: A gas cylinder explosion occurred at the Central Children’s Store shopping mall in central Moscow, killing at least one person.
The incident occurred on the third floor of the mall, and two of the injured were hospitalized. Moscow’s Department of Health reported that the explosion was likely caused by a technical malfunction of equipment.
The building was evacuated and Russia’s Investigative Committee has initiated an investigation into the incident. (AP)
