SHILLONG, Sep 26: The District and Sessions Court, Shillong, is likely to frame charges on October 10 against Sonam, her lover Raj Kushwaha and three other prime suspects for the murder of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi in Sohra on May 23.
Special Prosecutor KC Gautam on Friday informed that the Court of the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Sohra, had earlier rejected the bail application of Sonam Raghuvanshi on September 23.
According to the Special Prosecutor, Sonam’s legal counsel argued that the chargesheet filed by police was defective.
However, the court ruled that it was a complete chargesheet and dismissed her bail plea while committing the case to the District and Sessions Court, Shillong.
Gautam informed that Sonam Raghuvanshi, Raj Kushwaha, Vishal Chauhan, Akash Rajput, and Anand Kurmi were produced before the District and Sessions Court on Thursday which fixed the next hearing, scheduled in 15 days, for the framing of charges against them.
