Prez appoints Soumen Sen as new CJ of Meghalaya HC

SHILLONG, Sep 27: President Droupadi Murmu has appointed Justice Soumen Sen, Calcutta High Court Judge, as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Meghalaya with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.
This decision follows a recommendation made by the Supreme Court Collegium earlier this month.
Former Chief Justice of the High Court of Meghalaya, Justice Indra Prasanna Mukerji, retired on September 5 on superannuation.
