A public ‘shradhanjali’ ceremony in memory of legendary Assamese singer Zubeen Garg will be held at the Deva Kumar Das Memorial Hall, Lumshatsngi, at 11 am on October 19. The organisers have extended an invitation to everyone to join in paying tribute to the beloved artist and cultural icon.
Corrigendum
Apropos of an achievement report published in this paper (ST October 14), the PhD awardee, Munmee Goswami, is the daughter of Malaya Goswami and Madan Mohan Goswami and not “granddaughter” as reported earlier. The inadvertent error is regretted.
