Nipan Das has been awarded PhD from Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong, for his thesis ‘A comparative study of immunoglobulins and complement components in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded biopsy specimen with fresh frozen tissue by immunofluorescence techniques’, which he completed under the supervision of Prof Rennie Orson Lakadong, MLCU, and Dr Biswajit Dey, Associate Professor, Department of Pathology, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong. He is the son of (L) Krishna Das and Nirmaya Das, husband of Mridusmita Kalita, and father of Avaneesh and Harshil of Kamarkuchi village, Nalbari district, Assam.
