SHILLONG, Oct 27: The prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong has been functioning without a permanent Director for over six months now.
In the absence of a regular head, Prof Nalini Prava Tripathy has been serving as the Director-in-Charge of the premier business school.
Sources said the process for appointing a new Director has already begun, and three candidates have been shortlisted for the position. The list of shortlisted names has been sent to the Union government for approval, and the matter is currently pending with the Centre.
Prof Tripathy took charge after Prof DP Goyal, who served as Director from 2019 until his farewell in April 2025.
