Police outpost
The Meghalaya government has notified the creation of a new police outpost at Era A∙ning in South Garo Hills to be known as Era A∙ning Police Outpost. The boundaries of Era A∙ning Police Outpost are Dobakol village under Nongalbibra PS in the North, Simsang river and Shallang PS jurisdiction in West Khasi Hills in the East, Rongding A∙we village under proposed Jadi Police Outpost in the South and Jadigittim village under proposed Jadi Police Outpost in the West.
Office-bearers
The general meeting of the Seng Samla Wahingdoh, held at the Community Hall, Wahingdoh, on October 18, elected new office-bearers for the term 2025-28. The election was conducted by Headman RS Marbaniang. The new office-bearers are Bateibok Nongbri (president), Hiambok Temsen (vice president), Ha-u-pasiang D Khariong (general secretary), Marcelia B Syiemlieh (finance secretary), besides others.
