State taekwondo team to compete in SGFI U-14 c’ship

Shillong, Oct 28: A 10-member contingent from the Meghalaya Taekwondo Association will represent the state in the Under-14 Boys category at the upcoming School Games Federation of India (SGFI) National Championship, scheduled to be held in Nagaland from October 28 to 30, 2025.
The young athletes, who have been training intensively for the event, will compete against some of the best school-level talent from across the country. The entire team’s participation is being sponsored by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Meghalaya.
Officials from the association expressed gratitude to the department for their continued support and encouragement, adding that such initiatives go a long way in promoting grassroots sports and nurturing young talent in the state.
