SHILLONG, Oct 28: Strengthening its base further in the Jaintia Hills region, the Voice of the People Party (VPP) has officially constituted its East Jaintia Hills District Committee.
The newly formed district body will be led by Damewanhi L Rymbai as president, with Lamsuk Langstang as vice-president and Dakheinkor Tangliang as secretary. Tyngshainlang Phawa has been appointed joint secretary, Leveson Suchiang as treasurer, and Riborlin Shylla as organising secretary.
In the Youth Wing, Delmon Phawa will serve as president, assisted by vice-president Dauni Dhar and secretary Prince Sukhlain. Fairly Pajuh has been named joint secretary, while Palatbha Pohshna and Endy S Bamon will serve as treasurer and organising secretary, respectively.
The Women’s Wing will be headed by president Deiwipaya T Tongper, with Numadeisa Lamare as vice-president and Lastborn Soul Sympli as secretary. Sokini Sutnga has been appointed joint secretary, Dona Tangliang as treasurer, and Lutmon Chyrmang as organising secretary.
The appointments were formally approved by VPP chief Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit at the party’s central office in Laitkor.
