SHILLONG, Oct 31: Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Friday revealed that either Prime Minister Narendra Modi or Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the Shillong Medical College and Hospital (SMCH).
The Chief Minister informed that the government is awaiting an official confirmation from the Centre. “Based on the communication we receive, we will decide the date and go ahead with the inauguration of the medical college,” Sangma said.
He further indicated that the inauguration is likely to take place within the next couple of weeks, or at the latest, within a month’s time.
