Govt announces 2% DA hike for employees

SHILLONG, Nov 2: The state government has announced a 2% hike in the Dearness Allowance/Dearness Relief payable to all categories of state government employees, pensioners and family pension holders with effect from July 1, 2025.
With the hike, the DA allowance will go up from 49% to 51%.
An office memorandum issued by the Finance Department said that these orders shall also apply to the members of the work-charged establishment and casual workers, other than bungalow peons, holding posts in the pay levels as admissible to the employees of corresponding categories under the regular establishment/services/posts.
