Shillong-based rapper-singer Daiaphi Lamare, popularly known by her stage name Reble, has released her latest single New Riot, a track packed with raw emotion, distorted synths, and an unapologetic message of defiance.
The 24-year-old artiste has been steadily gaining recognition, most recently for her collaboration on the Malayalam film Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra.
Her commanding vocals feature in the film’s title track, Thani Lokah Murakkaari, composed by Jakes Bejoy, marking another milestone in her rising musical journey.
Born in Nongbah, West Jaintia Hills, Reble has crafted a reputation for blending fearless lyricism, punk energy, and an authentic, rebellious spirit.
With New Riot, she leans deeper into themes of chaos and emotional upheaval, turning rage into a source of power.
Speaking about the single, Reble shared that the song emerged from an intense personal moment.
“It’s about giving shape to anger and emotional breakdowns,” she said, adding that the track was born from the kind of rage that makes one feel alive.
For this release, she collaborated with producer Parimal Shais, diving into a sonic palette inspired by phonk and Memphis rap. The result is a bold and energetic soundscape that invites listeners to confront and embrace their own emotions.
Reble believes that music should be experienced rather than dissected. “For me, songs are mirrors. You see in them what’s already inside you,” she said. “Whether one hears anger, freedom, or empowerment, the track is a reminder that our messy emotions make us real.”
“New Riot” is part of a larger project that explores themes of chaos, transformation, and emotional truth, with the artiste aiming to create work that stands the test of time.
Beyond her studio releases, Reble is also making waves on major live stages. She recently performed at Spotify’s Rap 91 showcase and is slated to appear at Rolling Loud India 2025, where she will share the stage with global music heavyweights.
