Antonia R Lyngdoh has been awarded PhD by the North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, for her research titled ‘Studies on effects of Curcuma caesia extract on hyperglycemia, oxidative stress and apoptosis in diabetic mice”, which she completed under the guidance of Dr Surya Bhan, Associate Professor, Department of Biochemistry, NEHU. She is the daughter of Orlando Lyngdoh and Philda Lamare, a resident of Mawroh village in Nongpoh, Ri-Bhoi district, and the wife of Rodrick Kharbithai.
